CLIFF™ Electronics, announces the addition of a full-size DisplayPort connector to its market-leading range of feedthrough connectors. The new connector joins the existing mini DisplayPort version and both may be assembled into an industry-standard, 24mm diameter, XLR-format panel cut-out.
The feedthrough connector series from CLIFF™ offers a wide range of connector types which may be assembled in a panel using the same cut-out, simplifying system design and assembly.
A key benefit of the CLIFF™ feedthrough connector range is the use of standard cables for the internal connection of electronic systems as well as the external connection to signal sources. CLIFF™ can provide suitable DisplayPort cables in lengths of one and two metres.meters. The new DisplayPort connector is available with a plastic, nickle-plated metal or black metal face plate, may be front or rear mounted to a panel and offers plain, countersunk or M3 threaded mounting holes.
DisplayPort (DP) and mini DisplayPort (MiniDP or mDP) connectors are a widely used audio-visual, digital interface. DisplayPort can drive display devices with resolutions up to 2560 × 1600 (WQXGA) in its 1.1a implementation, and 4096 × 2160 (4K) in its 1.2 implementation. With an adapter, the mini DisplayPort can drive display devices with VGA, DVI, or HDMI interfaces.
